Touch me not

At every touch

Her soul drooped

Defending itself

From the harm

Because in a world

Full of roses

She was a timid

So yesterday, just like every other day I was scrolling through my blog for the umpteenth time when I saw that dreamgirl30 and lunashea have nominated me for the One Lovely Blog Award. Thank you so much, I’m overwhelmed. Do check their blog, they’re amazing.

The rules:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to them.
  • Share 7-15 facts about yourself.
  • Nominate 9-15 bloggers you admire.

So here I am, sitting poker faced in front of my computer screen because sharing facts about myself would require some serious thinking considering how introvert I am. 😅

After much introspection I came up with the following facts:

  • I’m a 19 year old from India.
  • I’m one hell of an introvert person, as mentioned earlier.
  • I mind my own business and expect people to mind theirs.
  • I HATE two-faced people. I simply can’t act/pretend or tolerate people who do that on a regular basis.
  • Chocolate is my, as they say nowadays, Bae. 😛 I love anthing and everything that has chocolate in it.
  • I’m perpetually frustrated by the fact that all the food I love are extremely unhealthy.
  • Music is my stress-buster. I love mostly all the genres, acoustic music being my favourite.
  • I care a lot and only for the people I love.
  • I started this blog because writing is my escape from reality. It gives me peace.
  • I love my followers. ❤ 😊
  • Instagram username: namrata_sinhaThat’s all I could think of. Now for the tough part- Nominations.
  • So, I’d nominate these lovely people:
  • lavanya2198
  • johnloanews
  • emotionsoflife2016
  • levishedated
  • zoe169
  • storiesfrommydiary
  • simplyfernanda
  • vinis2blog
  • dontyouforgetaboutmesite
  • fabwritings

That’s all for today. You know me a bit more now, tell me about you in the comments below. Till next time..
Happy Blogging.

Quotes Challenge #2

So, it’s Day 2 of the Quotes Challenge for which I was nominated by . Thanks again 🙂

The rules are pretty simple –

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you.

2. Post 1-3 quotes each day for 3 consecutive days.

3. Nominate three bloggers each day.

I thought it would a bit monotonous to share quotes from various novels in this post as well. So, I added a little twist to this challenge and today I’ll be sharing three quotes from my favourite movies . I hope you like them too.

“I believe whatever doesn’t kill you, simply makes you…stranger.”

-Joker, The Dark Knight

“I suppose in the end, the whole of life becomes an act of letting go, but what always hurts the most is not taking a moment to say goodbye.”

Pi, Life of Pi

“Her stillness defeated his storm.”

-Chris Gardner, The Pursuit of Happyness

I’d further nominate these amazing bloggers:

Go ahead Girls, rock it. ✌

So that’s all for today. Tell me how you liked it in the comments below, I love hearing from you guys. Also, let me know if you want to get nominated for the challenge.
    Happy Blogging 😀

    Till next time..

    Quotes Challenge #1

Hello, followers and friends. Lately I’ve been fretting about an interesting topic for a blog post and I couldn’t come up with anything. That’s when I got nominated for the Quotes Challenge by for which I’m very thankful. I always wanted to do this challenge. So, here are three of my favourite quotes from my all-time favourite novels. Enjoy 🙂

    • This one is from the classic novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee.
This quote can have many interpretations, mine is that Mockingbirds just imitate what they hear just as people, especially children, imitate ideas and behaviour without fully understanding them. It would be wrong to persecute a child for believing in ideas that were those of his parents. The child has innocence.

    • This one is from the novel by the braveheart- Anne Frank, called “The Diary Of A Young Girl”. This novel is the best source of inspiration, especially for those going through a rough phase in life. This quote expresses the little girl’s optimistic outlook towards life. At times when most of us would break and lose all hope, she remained strong and believed in the general goodness in people.

    • And the last one is from “Veronika Decides To Die” by Paulo Coelho. I like this quote because I,myself, can relate to it. I believe that nothing in life happens by chance, that nothing happens by mere accidents. There is a deeper meaning and purpose of everything that happens to us and it’ll all make complete sense one day.

So, these were the three quotes for today’s challenge. I hope you guys liked them as much as I do.

Rules for the 3 days quote Challenge :

    1. Thank the blogger who nominated you.

    2. Post 1-3 quotes each day for 3 consecutive days.

    3. Nominate three bloggers each day.

Now comes the tough part, nominating three bloggers for the above challenge.
So, I’d like to start with:

    1. She’s my blogger-friend who loves to read. So I’m sure she’ll share the best quotes.
    2. Because she’s an amazing blogger.
    3. Here’s my personal favourite blogger.

That’s all for today. Thank you and Happy Blogging. 🙂

    The world through my eyes..

Isn’t it amazing how we don’t know each other, yet we know each other? You know me by my name and I know you by yours. That’s it. I don’t know your religion or country and I don’t even care. All I care about is that you are a human, so am I. We share knowledge, we share feelings. We appreciate each other and spread good vibes. We’re like a big, happy family sharing, caring, motivating and loving each other.

And then when I see people slaughter others of their kind on the grounds of religion and race, I pity them. I pity them because they are missing out on everything in this world that’s beautiful. I pity them because they don’t know that the world isn’t as bad a place as we think it is. I pity them because the feeling called “love” is beyond their comprehension.

‌If I could save you, I would. But time and again I’ve realised that people cannot be saved or fixed or grown by others. You need to do that yourself. You have to let go of the past, you have to forgive them. Remember, the more of them you forgive, the better you live. Crush that burden in your heart. Let go of everything that weighs you down, everything that doesn’t let you fly. Every constraint, every regret. Every shouldn’ts and don’ts. Embrace yourself and unfurl your wings. Fly high, for the sky is the limit. Be the saviour you want me to be.
